The day starts at 12 noon and will feature presentations from guest speakers including former Australian Greens Party leader Bob Brown. Entry to the symposium is $25.
Discussions on the day will focus on the future of the Belfast Coastal Reserve.
BCRAG spokesperson Bill Yates said the symposium will give people the chance to hear about the ecological importance of the coastal reserve.
“There is a deep concern, shared with many locals, about the destructive impact of commercial horse training in the Belfast Coastal Reserve and the broader concerns about the commercialisation and industrialisation of public land,” Mr Yates said.
