Graham will return to wearing navy blue for the Warrnambool and District Football Netball League powerhouse after a stint at Wimmera Football League club Stawell last season after leaving the Hampden league.
Blues co-coach Shane Threlfall confirmed rumors that the former Blue had been training with the side and said that he had already shown his qualities.
“He has been training with us for a little while now and his leadership that he has shown at training and in practice matches has been amazing,” he said. “He will also be joining our coaching staff as an assistant coach this season, with a focus on the forward line.”
Threlfall said the club was excited to have a player of Graham’s calibre at Nirranda.
“He has really good knowledge of forward structures and has played in really successful sides at Warrnambool that have had strong forward lines,” he said.
“The knowledge he brings in terms of set ups and structures will be fantastic for our side.”
Threlfall said he had already noticed the effect Graham had on the Blues’ young stars.
“We’ve already seen some improvement in our younger players because of his influence,” he said.
“They’ve understood the level of footy he has played at and they respect him for that.”
Graham joins former Koroit premiership midfielder Isaac Templeton and the returning Jesse Dalton as the Blues’ star off-season signings.
