The Walk in her Dairy Shoes function was held in partnership with the Legendairy Women’s Network, Westpac and South West Healthcare (SWH). It included presentations from guest speakers Sallie Jones and Shirley Harlock.
Ms Jones, a dairy entrepreneur from Gippsland, spoke of the importance of community connections.
Ms Harlock is a partner at Wollaston Farms and is an inductee on the Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
SWH farmer health and wellbeing worker Helen Chapman said the function served an important purpose.
“It was a chance to get women on dairy farms to socialise and hear from some inspiring speakers,” she said.
“There are support groups in the south-west for women in dairy so it was great to bring them together.”
