Harris told The Standard the league’s 11 clubs remained united in their opposition to the changes – which stemmed from an AFL Western District review into junior football.
The South Warrnambool president said the clubs were awaiting a response from the body after submitting a letter outlining their concerns on Wednesday.
“We’re a very united front against these changes,” Harris said.
“It’s not only the player cap – it’s a raft of changes we’re not totally happy with.
“Introducing the 16 (on-field players) and five (on the bench) has no sense behind it. Kids will just miss out on playing football.
“We’re waiting to hear back and then we’ll decide our next move on the issue from there.”
