Relay: The Cancer Council presents its 16th annual fundraiser ‘Relay for Life’ with teams passing the baton on the the grounds of Deakin Warrnambool from 6.30pm Friday to 1pm Saturday in a bid to raise over $2million for cancer research.
Jazz: Port Fairy will host its second Jazz Festival across the weekend with performances from 5pm Friday to 6pm Sunday.
Pool party: Corangamite Shire are presenting FReeZA Pool Party at the Terang Pool from 6pm to 9pm. High school students aged 12 to 18 will enjoy hot food, live music by DJ Barks and supervised pool activities marking the start of the school year.
SATURDAY
Tyrendarra: Tyrendarra will host its 101st annual Pastoral and Agricultural Society show on Saturday. Horses, fashion, photography, wool, cooking and floral art will fill the town’s recreation reserve from 8.30am.
Lego:The South West Brick Club will meet at Camperdown’s St Paul’s Church from 10.30am to 12 noon.
Surfing: The Disabled Surfers Association Great South Coast Victoria hosts it's 3rd Annual Surf Day, catering for all people living with a disability. The free event includes equipment and volunteers between 9:30am and 12:30pm at the Warrnambool Surf Lifesaving Club.
Beach Clean: Beach-goers are encouraged to partake in a beach clean on Saturday from 8am to 12 noon. All ages are welcome to bring gloves, hats and water bottles and clear the coast of rubbish with a free bus ride to Lake Pertobe for a barbecue following.
SUNDAY
Bandari: In their final fundraiser before they depart for Tanzania, the Bandari Project are hosting a Trivia Night with the Merri Creek Jazz Band at the Victoria Hotel in Port Fairy from 7pm. Meals will be available from 6pm, jazz from 7pm and trivia from 8pm.
Golf: Camperdown Golf Club will be home to Shine for Samuel Golf Day from 8.30am to 5pm. This family-friendly event is an inaugural fundraiser for the stillbirth foundation.
Climb: Mount Elephant will be open to the public from 1pm to 4pm.
