Monday, January 8
Fishing: Warrnambool Offshore and light game fishing is hosting its annual fishing competition at the Breakwater precinct from January 5 to 13.
Kids: Flagstaff Hill’s Summer Holiday Program will feature Cooking up a Storm at 11am and Crazy Crows at 2pm.
Beachfest: Daktari Surf and Dive are hosting a snorkelling morning at Stingray Bay from 9am. Wetsuit and snorkel provided.
Surf: Beachfest presents a Learn to Surf Taster at McGennans Beach from 11am to 12 noon.
Golf: The Rotary Club of Warrnambool East ‘Hole in One’ fundraiser runs from Boxing day to Australia day weekend at Viaduct Road from 10am to 6pm. Join the chance to win a car.
Volleyball: Beachfest activities will include Beach Volleyball at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm, followed by Snags on the Sand, beach barbecue from 12 noon.
Soccor: Beach Soccer will stir up the sand on McGennans Beach from 1.30pm to 3pm.
Tuesday, January 9

Music: Beachfest introduces 45 minutes of African Drumming with Wild Moves at McGennans Beach at 10am and 1pm.
Kids: The Warrnambool Art Gallery is hosting NGV KIds on Tour 2018 from 10.30am. The hour-long interactive art session looks at how artworks by Fiona Hall make a comment about today’s society and invites kids to create an emoji that expresses their own views.
Kids: Flagstaff Hill’s Summer Holiday Program will feature Suffolk Puffs at 11am and Bead Bugs at 2pm.
Birds: Bird-lovers are invited to experience the short tailed shearwater seabirds arrivals at the Mutton Bird Viewing Platform at Loch Ard Gorge, Port Campbell National Park from 9 to 10pm. Appropriate clothing is a must.
Film: Port Fairy Film Society are presenting their collection of summer movies at the Reardon Theatre. Today’s film is the family, PG-rated animation ‘Lego Batman Movie’ at 7.30pm.

Wednesday, January 10
Kids: Flagstaff Hill’s Summer Holiday Program will feature Groovy Washer Necklaces at 11am and Calligraphy at 2pm.
Yoga: Try Kimberley Erin Yoga at the Warrnambool Surf Club from 9am.
Hike: Defy Fitness presents a Tower Hill Discovery hike from 10am to 1pm.

Port Campbell: Environment expert Mandy Watson will share tales of pirates, conspiracy and life-and-death on the high seas in Whale Chasers film and talk to be held at the Port Campbell Arts Space from 7.30pm.
Beachfest: Defy Fitness are hosting a Tower Hill Discovery Hike from 10am to 1pm.
Flagstaff: Wednesdays on the Wharf are presenting Phil Royle & The Revolvers, as well as Easy-listening Popular Music from 5 to 8pm at Flagstaff Hill.
Athletics: Warrnambool Athletics Club to host the second of its four five-kilometre summer series. Walk from 5.45pm and run from 6pm, starting at Flagstaff Hill.
Film: Port Fairy Film Society are presenting their collection of summer movies at the Reardon Theatre. Today’s film is the adult M-rated action film ‘Thor Ragnaraok’ from 7.30pm.
Thursday, January 11
Walk: Nullawarre will be home to a Natural History Walk with local naturalist and plant expert David Smurthwaite at 11am to 12.30pm.
Film: Port Fairy Film Society are presenting their collection of summer movies at the Reardon Theatre. Today’s film is the adult adventure film ‘War for the planet of the apes’ at 7.30pm.
