Brother and sister team Harrison and Mia White were the first male and female runners to cross the finish-line in the first Warrnambool Athletics Club summer series fun run on Wednesday.

Harrison, 15, finished the five-kilometre course first in 18 minutes and 12 seconds, while Mia was fifth over the line in 19 minutes and 18 seconds.
The duo are from Werribee and are visiting Warrnambool for their annual summer holiday and are using it to keep up their fitness.
Harrison and Mia praised the difficulty of the course.
“It is a really hard course to run, but it is a good challenging run,” Harrison said.
“There was a point in the middle of the run where I felt I was running in a circle.”

“I found it pretty tough around the Granny’s Grave section of the run,” Mia said.
“The hills there really tested me this year, which is good for me.”
Mia runs for Western Athletics Club in Werribee and Harrison was using the run for preseason training.
There was a large amount of people competing with Warrnambool Atheltics club confirming that over 95 people participating in the first of four fun runs.
The next round of the summer series is next Wednesday at Flagstaff Hill at 6pm.
