Zachary Kurt Miller, 21, previously of Churchill Street, Warrnambool, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court to eight charges including five counts of driving while disqualified.
He was jailed for the 46 days already spent in custody, fined $800 and will restart a community corrections order.
Magistrate Cynthia Toose said Miller simply should not have been driving.
“If you have not learnt after spending 46 days in custody you will be back in court and just sentenced to longer and longer jail terms,” he said.
“When courts make orders they expect they will be adhered to. You snubbed your nose at this order,” she said.
Police said that in August, September and October Miller was caught driving despite being a banned learner driver.
He was banned for 12 months in April this year at Warrnambool court.
One time he told police he was going to get smokes, another time a 45cm double edged sword was found in the back of the car he was driving, another vehicle was unregistered and a fourth vehicle was also unroadworthy.
Defence counsel Jack Rabl said Miller was effectively homeless at the time of the offending.
Miller was sentenced to serve 18 months in a youth detention centre mid last year on three charges of drug trafficking.
