Daughter Polly is now 10 months old and will be ringside to watch her dad fight on the War in the ‘Bool 2 card on Saturday night.
“It’s been a crazy year for me, busy with work, training and having a little baby girl,” MacLean said.
“She is now my world. This fight on Saturday night is for her to make her proud of her Dad.”
MacLean, 25, said he was well prepared for his third professional fight, having set up a home gym in his garage.
Former East Warrnambool football coach Paul Hrabar and Momentum Fitness’ Scott Sundale have also played a role in his training program.
“I lost my first one in Bendigo, won my second one in Warrnambool and this one is 50-50,” MacLean said.
“I have come a long way and boxing has made me a better person. Starting out with Rudy Ryan for a few years really changed my life around.
“Now I am working out of Momentum Fitness, a new great place that has come to Warrnambool.”
The Bryan and Peterson concreter won his last fight – the first War in the ‘Bool event.
“I did four rounds for three minutes and won, so I was stoked about that,” he said.
“That was my last fight. This fight is about 12 months in between. Since the last fight I have been training full-time, everyday, so I am ready. My fitness, my skill, my technique has improved.”
