POLICE are requested witnesses to provide information after a car was torched at Westlakes Road on Friday night.

Detective Senior Constable Tim Chester, of the Portland police crime investigations unit, said car was believed to have been deliberately set on fire.
He said a white Ford Laser ran out of fuel and was left at Westlakes Road by the owner.
At about 11.15pm Friday witnesses driving past observed the vehicle on fire and contacted emergency services,” he said.
“The Laser has been totally destroyed. It was valued at about $5000. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Portland police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” he said.
