Callaghan Motors make the move to new Warrnambool premises

After 84 years in the CBD, iconic Warrnambool car dealership Callaghan Motors has begun its move into its new premises.

Completed over two stages, the service and parts departments will operate from the former Mitre 10 site from Monday, followed by the sales and administration departments from November 6.

The family-owned business has progressed from a land-locked 4,500 square metre site to the new 12,000 square metre premises.

Dealer principal Steve Callaghan said more space and greater efficiency were some of the benefits of the purpose-built facility which had the latest technology and environmental innovations.

It will also be the first Australian Holden dealership to display the brand’s new signage and interior fit out which Mr Callaghan said was really exciting.

He thanked the staff, Bolden Constructions and subcontractors who’ve worked onsite for almost 12 months, with an estimated 180 people from 34 local businesses contributing.
