The drag racer has made some modifications to the bike he debuted in the group two class last season, but is yet to see their impact in action.
“We’re trying a few different things with the bike this year,” Frost said. “Hopefully we’ll get into the high sevens.”
The Warrnambool motorcyclist has the class record – a time of 7.79 – as his aim, and was encouraged by strong performances in his first season, which saw him finish sixth at the prestigious Winternationals.
With new lessons learnt at the event back in June – his most recent competition – Frost has changed the carburetor and different aspects to the clutch of his ride.
The former modified bike racer will be Warrnambool’s only representative at Adelaide, and will continue on to Calder Park late next month, and will also enter another bike at Portland in November.
