The Grassmere-Hexham Road was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week to allow for the replacement of a culvert so it can better handle downpours.
The road is expected to be re-opened on Thursday. It is closed from between the intersections of Cooramook Road and Maes-Y-Porth Road/Injemira Road.
Works were completed last week on Cathcarts Ford Road near Grassmere, which was closed between Injemira Road and Johnstones Lane for almost a month.
The road was re-opened last week after repairs had been done to the damage caused by floodwaters.
