The health literacy masterclass, led by Deakin’s Health Systems Improvement Unit senior researcher Roy Batterham, will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.
It will help managers, executives, health professionals, health planners, policy makers, researchers and health promotion workers to use health literacy to improve services and aid community development.
Director Associate Professor Vin Versace said access to the world-class training demonstrated Deakin’s commitment to addressing rural and regional health issues. “The fact it has attracted international interest is testament to quality of the masterclass. We are really proud to be able to contribute to these types of opportunities that go beyond the traditional university offerings,” Professor Versace said.
