Experienced composers and musicians Jen Anderson and Craig Pilkington are hosting the “Making Music For Film” session at Port Fairy Community House from 10.30am.
Anderson was a member of The Black Sorrows and Weddings, Parties, Anything, and has created scores for silent films including Pandora’s Box, which she is performing as part of the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival.
Pilkington was a member of ARIA-winning band The Killjoys and a renowned producer. He and Anderson are regular collaborators with Archie Roach.
The workshop is for people aged 15 to 25 and covers recording software and using the sound creation protocol MIDI.
The event is sponsored by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, and YACVic Rural.
