A 19-year-old Hamilton woman was stopped by police in the Hamilton CBD at 8am and produced a blood alcohol reading of .02.
The P-plater’s licence will be cancelled and she received a penalty notice worth $396.
She will be ineligible to regain her licence for three months.
Less than two hours later, a 23-year-old Hamilton man was intercepted in the Hamilton area by the highway patrol.
The man returned a blood alcohol reading of .09.
His licence was automatically cancelled for six months.
He also received a penalty notice worth $476.
