Detective Senior Constable Wayne Ryan, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said that offenders had used sandstone blocks to try and smash glass doors at the Walsh Road office overnight Saturday.
That attempt failed, but offenders were able to smash a window and gained entry to the building.
The office was ransacked and about $100 taken from a cash tin.
"Crime scene officers have conducted an extensive forensic examination of the crime scene," Detective Senior Constable Ryan said.
Anyone with information about the burglary and theft is requested to contact the Warrnambool police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
