Entitled Salubrious, the Warrnambool pair’s first joint exhibition is named after a term that, in their own words, is “health giving” or “good for you”.
Featuring photography, ceramics and paintings, the 10-day art show and sale will be on display at Fletcher Jones’ Outlaw Gallery from Friday.
Chris, a former art teacher with over 30 years experience in the industry, said it was rewarding to finally be sharing a creative space with his son.
“We’ve been talking about it for a long time,” he said. “Your first show is your hardest because you really put your soul out there so I’m pleased he’s done it.”
The duo say while the exhibition had no theme in its design phase, the colour red features in many of their pieces.
“I guess we’re both just drawn to red,” Chris said.
Opening night for Salubrious is Friday 22 September from 6pm. The exhibition runs until October 2.
