Hundreds of people came through the gates of the Warrnambool Racecourse keen to see the latest caravans, motorhomes and boats.
Warrnambool Offroad owner Russell Cairns said he attended the annual event to showcase products and to a market his business. “It’s a good little show for Warrnambool,” he said. “It’s working well.”
Troy Cuthbertson, from Ballarat City Caravans, said the south-west was a big catchment area for them. “It’s good, we do it to promote ourselves,” he said. “We’re not here just for sales.”
Warrnambool’s Tony Cox said he attended the expo most years. “It’s good to see what the innovations are and what’s around. I’ve got a van but I will buy another van when I retire.”
Mr Cox said it was good for the city. “It brings people in – it promotes business locally and it gives them a chance to show their wares, which is important.”
Event manager Jeff Leech said businesses reported good sales on Saturday and people had travelled from Portland, Mount Gambier, Horsham and Colac to attend the expo.
