Now in her thirties, the creative artist, says her mum is still the inspiration behind her latest decorative pieces.
Hilary’s hand-made jewellery is being showcased for the first time at F Project’s gift shop.
“Every occasion I used to make mum something,” she said. “She likes hand-made originals.”
Warrnambool residents Hilary and her mother Jean Christie have been admirers of Fletcher Jones and the silver ball for years.
“Mum has always loved the silver ball,” Hilary said. “So I made ten sets and thought I’d just try them out at the F Project shop.”
Hilary said the positive reaction from art lovers has been surprising.
“I just want others to like my creations,” she said. “It’s one thing for me to like it but to receive positive feedback from others is wonderful.”
Hilary hopes to one day own her own clothing label and combine her love of art and fashion.
