League president Peter Watson said the changes were in line with what the league has done in previous seasons.
“(It’s just) logistics for the preliminary final and grand final,” he said.
“We’ve done it the last few years.”
On Monday afternoon, the HFNL posted an alternative timetable on its Facebook account that featured some very different start times, but when the official schedule, which differed again, was released on Tuesday morning.
The 13 and under and open grades are the only two that retain their home-and-away season start times, while the 15 and under, division and division three grades have been moved forward, and the 17 and under and division one start times have been moved back.
Netball preliminary final start times: 9am 13 and under; 9am 15 and under; 10am division three; 11am 17 and under; 11am division two; 12.15pm division one; 1.15pm open grade.
