Eighteen students from years 10, 11 and 12 are pairing up for the presentation ball on Saturday night.
There was an atmosphere of excitement on Monday afternoon as the students were put through their paces for the final time ahead of the event.
Warrnambool Special Developmental School teacher and ball organiser Ebony Jarry said students were thrilled to be going through the rite of passage many other teenagers enjoy.
“Everyone is really excited,” she said.
“If it all goes well we’re hoping to hold it every two years.”
The inaugural presentation ball will be held on Saturday night at St Pius X Hall on Morriss Road.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. All are welcome.
