Blues co-coach Shane Threlfall said Kolora-Noorat’s defensive discipline brought his men undone in a 27-point qualifying final loss on Saturday.
“Both sides were concentrating on their defence. The set-ups and structures were really strong from both teams,” Threlfall said.
“I thought the difference in the end was that they were a bit cleaner with the footy at times.
“They had some repeated passages of play where they kept possession and hit the scoreboard.
“We weren’t able to get that free flow into our game and that was largely due to their defensive setups.”
Threlfall said his side would focus on its recovery in a bid to bounce back.
“We just have to make sure recovery is strong. We just want to fine-tune a few things,” he said.
