THE prevailing theory is that Mortlake is on the rise, and that buzz was easy to see on Friday, even at 7.30am.
About 60 people packed into Olivine Restaurant for the Mortlake Big Brekky for Business as part of the Great South Coast Small Business Festival.
Aside from a hot breakfast, guests also got to hear from marketing and events guru Liz Fowler, WVLX director Brendan Abbey, and Mortlake Community Development Committee president Keith Peart.
The crowd learnt about the dos and don’ts of social media and received an update on the new Mortlake saleyards.
Moyne Shire’s economic development officer Vicki Askew-Thornton said the day was a great networking opportunity and that she was pleased by the diversity of businesses represented.
