New Zealand organist Martin Setchell will headline the three-day festival, fresh from touring Europe.
Setchell will open the event on September 1 with a performance at Christ Church featuring Ballarat-based mezzo soprano Christine Heald.
The festival aims to showcase some of the impressive organs in Warrnambool’s churches, as well as to demonstrate the diversity of music that can be performed on them.
Also on the bill will be Melbourne’s Anthony Halliday, who will perform at St Joseph’s Chruch with local trumpeter Andrew Philpott.
St Joseph’s will also host a special Father’s Day concert on September 3 featuring Fremantle organist Dominic Perissinotto and singer Eva-Marie Middleton.
Regular performers Brendon Lukin and Craig Doherty will return. Lukin will perform excerpts from The Nutcracker Suite at the Uniting Church accompanied by dancers from Melissa’s Dance Elements.
Doherty will perform at St John’s Presbyterian Church accompanied by a male vocal quartet.
Festival committee member Laurel Myers said it was the best line-up the event had hosted to date.
“The festival’s reputation has grown quickly since we began and we’re looking forward to bringing these highly sought after musicians to Warrnambool,” Myers said.
Tickets can be bought at the Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre.
