Not-for-profit community organisations in the shire are eligible to apply for a grant.
This will be the first allocation of the program for 2017-18.
Glenelg Shire Council Mayor Anita Rank said council prided itself on offering the grants program and was hopeful of many community organisations across the shire submitting applications.
“As a council, we are very proud of the program and the way in which it encourages and supports the broad range of events and programs that we have on offer in the region,” Cr Rank said.
“In the previous funding round, we approved grants for more than 40 community groups and non-for-profit organisations. I look forward to helping approve even more grants this next funding round.”
Applications close at 5pm on August 7.
