He took out two races, which formed the final two rounds of the Cycling Victoria Junior Road Race Series, in the Men’s under 17 B grade.
The 16-year-old finished Saturday’s 53.2km Newbridge Road Race in 1:26:2 and followed up with a win in Sunday’s 43.5km North Harcourt Road Race in 1:26:28.
“The first lap was pretty simple (on Saturday) – there’s a decent climb right at the start,” Worrall said.
“Then the second lap, people started attacking on the first incline.
“I pulled a few of the attackers back and then attacked myself; I ended up attacking four or five times on the first day.”
The second day, which culminated with a tough 8km climb up Mount Alexander, saw Worrall break away from the leading pack with just 300m to go, gaining two seconds on the others.
