The award, which will be presented to a winning club on Sunday, aims to encourage increased professionalism in club environments, and acknowledges those that have gone above and beyond in delivering their programs.
Warrnambool Swimming Club president Kellie Windahl said it was a big achievement.
“We’ve had a great year this year,” she said. “The support of all the members and the hard work of the committee has really paid off – in and out of the pool.
“It’s great to be nominated for the award, given it’s across Victoria and we’ll be up against lots of the larger metropolitan clubs.”
The club’s members have been going from strength to strength at competition level, setting personal best times, winning a host of medals and earning qualification for Vic country and state events.
Warrnambool Swimming Club recently unveiled new starters blocks, which are among the best on offer in Victoria.
