Co-coach Graeme Twaddle said lightly-built utility Will Scriven deserved to debut after consistent form in junior ranks.
Scriven could be thrown anywhere against Camperdown at Bushfield Recreation Reserve.
“He’s a good reader of the game and his disposal is top-notch as well,” Twaddle said.
“He always seems to have time on his side.”
Camperdown will unveil ruckman Tom Place – the cousin of forward Grant.
“He’s undersized for a ruckman but quite athletic and moves well for an 18-year-old,” Magpies coach Phil Carse said.
Lachie Bone, Charlie Brett and Devon Coates will also return to the Pies’ line-up which is minus the hamstrung Carse.
“They’re exciting changes for the group and the young kids run well,” he said.
