The Warriors comfortably accounted for Allansford 37-23 at Davidson Oval on Saturday, but despite the victory elevating them to sixth and just two points outside the top five, Forth said they were concentrating on the short-term.
“It’s really exciting for us, but like I’ve said (in the past), if finals are going to happen, that’s great, but our focus is just on consistency in our game,” she said.
“I think the last four weeks focusing less on finals and more on each game has helped us turn it around.”
The Warriors built a handy four-goal lead in the opening quarter, doubling it to eight by the main break.
The Cats chipped into the margin with a 7-5 third term, before a strong finish saw the home team land 14 goals to six.
“Our last quarter was our best – I think we really controlled the game and … minimised our errors.”
Goal attack Bec Kavanagh shot 22 goals and earned praise from her coach for her play-making ability.
