The Koroit forward said between minor injuries and irregular byes for the Saints at the start of the year, he took to the field just four times in 10 weeks.
But he has made a solid run at it the past month to become a key player for the triple-premiership Saints.
“I took a while to get some confidence in my game,” Korewha said.
“This past month I’ve been able to play a good month of footy.
“I’m enjoying playing at Koroit. We’re going alright so far. Hopefully our form as a team can continue.
“My form has been not too bad. I think I play my role each week. I’m just excited to have a crack with the Roosters.”
Korewha was named as 23rd man in North Ballarat’s team to take on Essendon at Eureka Stadium.
Koroit coach Chris McLaren congratulated the former TAC Cup Rebel on his senior state league call-up.
“He’s always been really, really strong for us,” McLaren said.
