The fire started in a bedroom when no-one was home

UPDATE, Tuesday, 9am: Warrnambool police crime scene officers will examine a Fleetwood Court home in Warrnambool on Tuesday morning.

An arson chemist is also travelling from Melbourne to investigate the cause of the fire.

Monday, 7pm: A FIRE in a Fleetwood Court property has been quickly contained by emergency services.

Warrnambool Fire Station officer Travis Klein said the fire started in a bedroom, about 6.35pm.

He said fire investigators would determine the cause.

Four fire service units attended. 

“Nobody was inside the house when the fire started,” Mr Klein said.

Two officers wearing breathing apparatus worked to contain the blaze.

Police also attended the incident and onlookers from neighbouring homes gathered to watch in the street in Warrnambool’s east.
