Warrnambool City Council and St Joseph’s Primary School are exploring options for improved pedestrian crossings on Botanic and Queens roads.
The Standard last week revealed the school was urging parents to send letters to the council with concerns and ideas.
A survey on The Standard’s website drew 199 responses with 83.4 per cent favouring a crossing being added to the intersection of Queens and Botanic roads.
Some readers feared parents would take over the nearby AquaZone car park for pick-ups and drop-offs, creating more congestion.
