VicRoads opens up south-west historical archive | Photos

MORE than 100 snapshots of south-west landmarks have been uncovered as the Country Roads Board (CRB) marks a milestone in the region.

Photographs in the above gallery, dating back as far as 1914, showcase the south-west's historical roads and bridges, providing an interesting insight into the region's bygone transport network.

One 1950s photo shows Warrnambool's Raglan Parade prior to duplication while others feature the development of roads and bridges across the south-west, including Portland, Hamilton, Colac, and various regional landmarks.
