The Jones Oval club will travel to Trekardo Park to tackle third-bottom Ballarat Red, knowing victory could propel it to second.
Defeat, however, could see Rangers slip out of the top four.
Rangers captain Isaac Slater said the team was itching to get back on the park after the Queen’s Birthday bye.
“We definitely want to make a bit of a mark here, considering they knocked us out of finals,” he said.
“We’re feeling really fresh and keen to get back out on the pitch.
“We don’t want a slow start, we want to get straight back out there against a good team. They’re always a good team.”
