The free five-kilometre timed run/walk attracts about 60 participants each week and is reliant on volunteers to help.
Event director Kate Winnen said participants could volunteer a couple of times a year to help sustain the free event and new volunteers were welcome. Jobs include time keeping, barcode scanning and photography.
“People might not want to run or walk but want to be involved,” she said.
“If anyone would like to know what parkrun is about they can come down and volunteer. Come down and meet people and have a chat. It’s very social.
“There’s more and more people. It’s unbelievable. It’s great.”
Mrs Winnen said volunteers must register for a barcode online at parkrun.com.au and bring it with them each Saturday. For more information contact Kate on 0419 587 238.
