The weekend, on August 26 and 27, is run by the Port Fairy Community House and supported by a volunteer advisory group made up of local women who share a passion for their community.
Port Fairy Community House adult and community education co-ordinator Carol Campbell said the weekend would focus on three key areas – creativity, health and wellbeing, and life and living.
“We are working hard to put together an inspiring and rewarding program for women of all ages and abilities and there will be something for everyone,” Ms Campbell said.
She said last year’s event sold out quickly and encouraged interested women to keep an eye on the Port Fairy Community House or the Port Fairy Women’s Weekend Facebook page for information about when registrations will open.
The cost is $140 or $120 (concession). Participants must also become members of the Port Fairy Community House Membership – a $10 annual fee.
Included in the enrolment fee is two days of workshops, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both Saturday and Sunday, and a celebratory dinner on Saturday night at a Port Fairy venue. Accommodation is not included.
