Telstra mobile network 4GX upgrades completed around Warrnambool

TELSTRA is hoping upgrades to the south-west mobile network will improve data speeds.

Earlier this month, work was completed on the 4GX upgrade for Warrnambool, Koroit, Allansford, Naringal and Woodford.

Telstra area general manager Steve Tinker said the new service meant increased capacity for the local mobile network, giving locals improved and more consistent data speeds with less delay.

He said Telstra was trying to keep ahead of demand by increasing the network capacity.
