Warrnambool Cheese & Butter (WCB) has again excelled at the Dairy Industry Association of Australia’s Awards of Excellence, this year winning the award for best retail cheddar.

WCB consumer goods general manager John Williams also picked up the John Bryant Gold Medal for services to the dairy industry at the national awards.
WCB was also recognised at the awards for the quality of a range of its dairy products.
Its Sungold Jersey Low Fat Milk won the best modified category and its Heritage Vintage Cheddar won the Highest Scoring Consumer Pack Cheddar.
Another win for the Allansford factory was the Best Hard Cheese for its Mil Lel Superior Parmesan.
The award for the Mil Lel Superior Parmesan follows WCB’s two awards for Very Hard Cheese and Italian Style Cheese in the 2016 awards.
WCB marketing manager Mike Murray said the award wins were fantastic and recognised “the continued focus that the team at Warrnambool put into the quality and consistency”.
