More than 250 entries have been received by the club, which is situated on the fringe of Timboon, for its annual horse trials this weekend.
Event co-ordinator, Fiona Hawkes, said dressage, cross country and showjumping would make up the two-day gathering from April 22-23.
“I can remember getting close to this number a few years ago, but we’ve never had this many,” she told The Standard.
“It’s probably as many as we can handle given the amount of daylight we have at the moment.
“Our cross country course is on private property, which is owned by the Vogels family, and they’re very accommodating.
“It’s great for the town of Timboon to have so many people around, as they all turn up on Friday.”
