Raise The Barre is the latest production from Melbourne-based dance troupe Masters Of Choreography and the company is describing it as a sister show to Beats On Pointe.
Both shows boast combinations of old and new dance styles, blending ballet and jazz moves with contemporary and hip hop dancing.
Described as “a commercial ballet show... with attitude”, Raise The Barre also throws comedy into its high energy mix.
The show will be staged at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre on Saturday from 7pm.
Masters Of Choreography aims to showcase the skills of local and international choreographers, with Raise The Barre featuring work by Jennifer Peric, Emma Vaiano, Gerard Pigg, Daniel Ryan, Alfie Scalia and Phill Haddad.
Raise The Barre is touring Australia and has been staged in front of sold-out crowds in Melbourne.
