Gateway Plaza operations/retail manager Melanie Wright said the centre was getting behind the Leukaemia Foundation this year by offering hair colours and head shaves for anyone brave enough to lose their locks.
“We’ve had a few get their head shaved, which is great,” Ms Wright said.
“Everyone has been touched one way or the other by one type of cancer or an other.
“It’s a great event. It’s a great cause and we always like to get on board.”
The World’s Greatest Shave event, which also included free face-painting, barbecue and lucky door prizes, raised more than $500.
