They will face top team Russells Creek in the decider at Walter Oval this weekend as they look to reverse their fortunes from 12 months ago, when they finished runner-up to Merrivale.
“We don’t want to dwell too much of last year’s result. We’ve had the injection of a couple of younger guys this year, which has probably helped us older guys get a love back for the game,” McLean said.
The teams have split their shorter format encounters one apiece this year, but Russells Creek captain Eddie Wallace said sticking to what’s served his side well will hold them in good stead.
“Everyone knows their role and what they’ve got to do,” he said. He said it was a great achievement for the club to have two sides in finals.
In division three, Nirranda and Wesley CBC will face off at Mack Oval.
