The husband-and-wife competitors took out both divisions at most recent Warrnambool meet, with Chris salute in the quick 16 and Tania in the super sedans.
Chris, who competes on the national circuit said he and Tania, who has competed locally for the past five years, were looking to again be among the top echelon.
“It’ll be nice to go back-to-back,” he said. “It’s unheard of (a husband and wife winning both classes). It was the first one Tania has won, and I hadn’t won one for ages.”
For the Kings, drag racing is a family affair. The two youngest of their five children still live at home and attend the meets with their parents, and are keen to join in racing when they’re old enough.
The WADDRA meeting will run from 9am until 2.30pm on Sunday.
