Plozza, who coached Timboon for three seasons before falling pregnant, will play under the guidance of Kellie Gowland as the Demons strive to better last season’s eighth place finish.
She said she was beginning to regain full fitness on the back of a solid pre-season.
“I ended up playing pretty much the second half of last year, but I hadn’t long had the baby at that point,” Plozza said.
“It’s really good to have a full pre-season. The body is going where I’d like it to go a little more now.”
Plozza said the side inherited by Gowland at the start of 2016 was heavily depleted from the season prior and praised her work in guiding the club to eighth.
"When I finished up, another girl left and had a baby as well and we had a couple of uni girls leave and not come back,” she said.
“Kellie took on a fairly depleted list but she brought in some younger players.
“The club is rebuilding really well at the moment. Kellie is doing a good job.”
