He has been nominated for the Small Business Achiever award, one of nine categories in the state awards.
Mr Mahony’s nominator said he founded the Warrnambool Laneway pop-up bar and had raised over $12,000 for charity.
“Lawyer, hospitality entrepreneur and all-round local community man, Edward is a passionate individual leading the way of balancing a demanding career with charitable work,” his nominator said.
He also co-founded the young professionals group in Warrnambool.
The purpose of the Victorian Young Achiever Awards is to acknowledge, encourage and promote the positive achievements of young people 29 and under.
Finalists will be presented and winners announced at a gala dinner in May next year.
