Organisers of the unique event distributed blank coasters throughout the city, seeking creative contributions from the community.
More than 200 coasters were decorated and returned and will be on display at Warrnambool’s Sweezy’s Emporium between 3pm and 9pm.
The event will feature food trucks, live music, prizes and coffee, as well as the launch of Lucy Bar’s summer season.
Event co-ordinators Bek Barnes and Kate B. Gage hope the community will embrace the new, all-ages event.
“We’d like to make it into an annual event,” Ms Barnes said.
”It’s our own crazy art festival.”
The coaster art will be accompanied by an exhibition by Madeleine Peters and will remain on display for a week following Saturday’s event.
