A 26-YEAR-OLD Hamilton man alleged to have smashed his way into his mother’s home and assaulted her partner has been remanded in custody.

Police claim Jacob Aaron Wilson, of Walls Crescent, Hamilton, also breached an intervention order when he visited the property.
He appeared in the Hamilton Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon and was remanded in custody to reappear in the Warrnambool court for a committal mention hearing on February 10.
Police allege Mr Wilson went to the property about 8.30pm on Monday night and smashed a window to gain entry.
There was then a serious physical altercation involving Mr Wilson and his mother’s partner before Mr Wilson was arrested by police officers.
A 53-year-old man was flown to Melbourne’s The Alfred hospital suffering severe bleeding lacerations to his face, shoulders, chest and back and a compound fracture of his right arm.
Mr Wilson was also taken to Hamilton Base Hospital, but checked himself out on Tuesday, was later arrested and remanded in custody to appear in court.
He did not apply for bail.
He's been charged with aggravated burglary, intentionally cause serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury and assault.
