Residents urged to keep an eye out for farmer’s ‘rusty white tipper truck’

CAMPERDOWN residents have been urged to keep an eye out for a “rusty white tipper truck”.

The vehicle was stolen from a property on Old Geelong Road overnight on Tuesday.

The farmer contacted police hopeful his “wood truck” will be returned.

Camperdown police have also called for public assistance in relation to a number of other matters.

On the weekend, the town’s optometrist was broken into.

Entry was gained via a window and 14 pairs of Maui Gym sunglasses – valued at about $4000 – were stolen.

An amount of cash was also taken from the property.

The landfill near Camperdown was also broken into on Monday night.

Sergeant Sally Slingsby, of Camperdown police, said the office had been ransacked but it was not clear whether anything had been stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Camperdown police on 5593 1000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
