A POLICE manhunt for Warrnambool man Christopher Austin continues after he escaped from a residential treatment facility on Tuesday night.

Austin, 22, left the Fairfield facility about 11.30pm.
He is serving a five-year residential placement order for sexual assault committed in Warrnambool at the Disability Forensic Assessment and Treatment Service.
Austin is about 166cm tall with a medium build and has short dark hair with a rat’s tail.
The Aboriginal man also has two lines cut into his right eyebrow and dollar signs tattooed on his right leg and right middle finger.
Investigators received information that a man fitting his description was seen at 6am Wednesday in Kew East.
He was pushing a mountain bike along Main Yarra Trail near Willow Grove, wearing shorts and a jumper.
Anyone who sights Austin is urged not to approach him.
